When I am elected Sheriff, I will serve and protect the citizens of this county to the best of my ability and make our citizens proud of our Sheriffs Department.
As a Christian, I will serve the people of Talladega County morally and faithfully.
I will seek to provide more deputies for:
- Shorter response times
- Better scheduling during high crime times of day and week
- Perform door checks for businesses in our rural areas
- Enhance our ability to safely work events
- To perform civil stand by's
- To work with and assist other agencies including the DA's drug task force to crack down on the drug problem in our county.
- To work wrecks until St. Troopers arrive, so that you are not alone.
- To offer in-house training to our deputies and individuals.
- Work closely with the citizens of Talledega County on crime awareness, prevention, and alertness
- Educate our students and young people about the dangers of alcohol and drug use.
- Enforce our speed laws in our county rural areas, especially where children are playing.
- Provide for effective communication with our county citizens, to hear their thoughts, opinions, concerns, and ideas.
- Enforce fair voter practice at all voting sites
I will work to modernize our Sheriffs Department
- Better equip our deputies and patrol cars
- Radar equipment
- In car cameras
- Tasers
- Work to enhance our dispatch system
I will work to create better community relations and communication
- Talladega County Sheriffs Website
- Utilize social media sites to communicate with the public
- I will keep regular office hours
- I will maintain a regular presence on both the north and south end of the county
- Re-vitalize our auxiliary and reserve deputy programs.
I have effectively served the people of Talladega County in law enforcement for over 20 years. I served 17 years as a county deputy, with the Childersburg City Police Department, and have served with the Sylacauga City Police Department for the past 7 years. I have always been concerned about the safety and welfare of the people of our county without regards to race, creed, or color. It will be my privilege and honor to serve you as Sheriff.
The responsibilities of Sheriff have been taken too lightly for far too long. I believe that it is time for a responsible conservative change to this office! I represent the kind of change and fresh approach that the office of Sheriff should uphold. I will accept the burden of leadership in this position and will not take it lightly. I will work with the citizens and county government agencies to provide for the kind of leadership and law enforcement that you deserve and desire. In this day and time many lines seem to have become blurred. Statements change or are twisted to bend to meet individual needs. I will provide a clear leadership, operating under the law, providing for your safety, protection, and constitutional rights.
